A dedicated Vendor Development Session on “Make in India for Power Distribution” at the Bharat Electricity Summit 2026 brought together policymakers, utilities, manufacturers, and technology providers to align India’s rapidly evolving distribution ecosystem with the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047.

The session emphasized the need to strengthen domestic manufacturing, reduce import dependency, and build a resilient, future-ready supply chain to support the country’s expanding power infrastructure. Participants highlighted that promoting local production and innovation is essential for achieving a self-reliant and sustainable power distribution system.

The discussions also underscored the role of emerging technologies and stronger collaboration among stakeholders in enhancing efficiency, reliability, and affordability of power distribution networks, ensuring that India can effectively meet its growing energy demands.
