Ranchi : Anurag Gupta (IPS: 1990: JH) has been appointed as the officiating DGP of Jharkhand replacing Ajay Kumar Singh (IPS: 1989: JH). Anurag Gupta was earlier serving as the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) cum CID DG. Gupta will serve as the in-charge DGP of Jharkhand.
Ms Shalini Singh has been designated as DGP, Puducherry. She is a 1996 batch IPS officer of AGMUT cadre.
Mitesh Jain has been designated as IG, CRPF on deputation basis for a period of 5 years. He is a 2004 batch IPS officer of West Bengal cadre.
Ms Parul Kush Jain has been designated as DIG, Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) on deputation basis for a period of 5 years. She is a 2004 batch IPS officer of West Bengal cadre.
Eleven officers of the 2021 batch of Indian Administrative Service have been confirmed in IAS. The names are : Nisha and Shubham Kumar, both of Bihar; Mahima Madan of AGMUT cadre; Lakshit Sareen, Narendra Kumar, Nisha, Sonu Bhatt, Vishwajeet Chaudhary, Vivek Arya, Yash Jaluka, all of Haryana cadre and Girdhari Lal Meena of Sikkim.
Pranjol Chandra, Director in the Ministry of Civil Aviation, has been given premature repatriation to his parent cadre on personal grounds. He is a 2001 batch IRSME officer.
Three IPS officers have been shifted in UP. Upendra Kumar Agrawal has been posted as IGP, EOW, while Amit Verma has joined as Joint Police Commissioner, Law & Order, Lucknow and Santosh Kumar Mishra is appointed SP, Training & Security, Lucknow.
