New Delhi : The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet cleared the empanelment of 45 IRS officers of Income Tax Cadre for holding Chief Commissioner (CCIT) rank post in the Indian Revenue Service (Income Tax) for the panel year 2024. There is a list of Extended Panel of 14 more officers. As per provisions the “Extended Panel’ becomes operational in the event officer(s) included in the regular panel/extended panel are unavailable for promotion due to retirement/being away on deputation during the current FY.
