Centre Extends Central Deputation Tenure of IAS Officer P Bala Kiran by Two Years

The Central Government has approved the extension of the central deputation tenure of P Bala Kiran (IAS: 2008: Kerala cadre), who is currently serving as Joint Secretary in the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT).

According to the official order, his tenure has been extended for a period of two years beyond 28 February 2026, in the public interest. The extension has been granted with the approval of the competent authority, in line with existing rules governing central deputation of All India Services officers.

P Bala Kiran has been handling key administrative and personnel-related responsibilities in the DoPT, a crucial department responsible for кадров management, service conditions, and administrative reforms of central government employees. His continued presence is expected to provide continuity and strengthen policy implementation in the department.
