New Delhi: The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has carried out a major bureaucratic reshuffle at the Joint Secretary and equivalent level, appointing and transferring 21 senior officers across various ministries and departments.
Among the key appointments:
- Deepa Chawla (IRAS: 1998) has been appointed as Joint Secretary in the Office of Secretary (Security) under the Cabinet Secretariat for a tenure up to December 28, 2028, replacing D. Sai Amutha Devi.
- Gopal Singh (IFoS: 2003: BH) has been appointed as Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Coal.
- Amit Kumar (IAS: 2010: JH) has been named Joint Secretary in the Department of Commerce for a combined tenure up to May 4, 2030.
- Shiv Pal Singh (IFoS: 1997: UP) has been appointed Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Cooperation.
- Neha Bansal (IAS: 2010: AGMUT) has been appointed Additional Director General, Records Management, at the National Archives of India, New Delhi.
- Vijay Namdeorao Zade (IAS: 2002: PB) and Prakash Rajpurohit (IAS: 2010: RJ) have been appointed as Joint Secretaries in the Department of Defence Production.
- D Senthil Pandiyan (IAS: 2002: UD) has been appointed Joint Secretary in the Department of Drinking Water and Sanitation.
- Sreenivasa Rao Gangi Reddy (IRPS: 2004) has been appointed Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Earth Sciences.
- Surabhi Rai (IFoS: 2005: AGMUT) has been appointed Joint Secretary in the Department of Fisheries.
- Manisha Saxena (IRS C&IT: 2000) has been appointed Joint Secretary in the Department of Health Research.
- Vivek Kumar Daksh (IPoS: 2002) has been appointed Senior Deputy Director General (Admin) at the Indian Council of Medical Research.
- M Ramachandrudu (IAS: 2009: BH) has been appointed Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Home Affairs.
- P Praveen Siddharth (IRS IT: 2001) has been appointed Member (Finance) at the Delhi Development Authority.
- Ajay Kumar Nema (ITS: 1994) has been appointed Joint Secretary in the Department of Justice.
- J Saravanan (IRS IT: 2005) has been appointed Financial Adviser at the Khadi and Village Industries Commission under the MSME Ministry.
- Amit Agarwal (IRSE: 2002) and Palka Sahni (IAS: 2004: BH) have been appointed as Joint Secretaries in the Ministry of Panchayati Raj.
- Jayasree M G (ISS: 1998) and S Sasikumar (IFoS: 2002: WB) have been appointed as Joint Secretaries in the Department of Rural Development.
- Sandeep Rewaji Rathod (IAS: 2009: TR) has been appointed Joint Secretary in the Department of Social Justice and Empowerment.
