Following the retirement of Sanjay Beniwal (IPS: 1989: AGMUT) as DG Prison (Delhi) on April 30, 2024, the Delhi administration has appointed Satish Golcha (IPS: 1992: AGMUT) as DG (Prison), GNCTD in an interim measure. Meanwhile, a proposal has already been submitted to the Election Commission of India (ECI) for seeking clearance for appointment of an officer as DG (Prison), GNCTD.
