The Election Commission of India (ECI) has designated Sandip Jacques, IAS, Secretary (Revenue) and Divisional Commissioner of Goa, as the Electoral Roll Observer for the state during the ongoing Special Summary Revision of Electoral Rolls, with January 1, 2025, as the qualifying date. In his new role, Jacques will oversee the revision process and ensure its accuracy.
The Electoral Roll Observer will be available to the public to receive any representations or concerns regarding the revision on November 14, 2024, at 11:00 AM in the Conference Hall at the Collectorate in North Goa. This initiative aims to ensure transparency and accuracy in the electoral process, providing citizens with an opportunity to raise any issues related to the electoral roll.
