In a small yet significant reshuffle of IAS officers, Dr. Vikrant Pandey (IAS: 2005: GJ) has been appointed as the new ‘Secretary to Chief Minister’ of Gujarat. Dr. Pandey, who was serving as the Resident Commissioner in New Delhi, will now take on this crucial role, replacing Avantika Singh Aulakh (IAS: 2003: GJ).
Avantika Singh Aulakh, who had been serving as Secretary to the CM since September 2021, has now been elevated and re-designated as the ‘Additional Principal Secretary’ to the Chief Minister. This move is seen as a recognition of her contributions in the high-profile role and her continued importance within the Chief Minister’s office.
The reshuffle is expected to streamline governance and further strengthen the relationship between the Gujarat government and its key stakeholders.
