Gunjan Kumar Sinha is poised to become the next Director (Personnel) of Eastern Coalfields Limited (ECL), a public sector undertaking under the Ministry of Coal. His appointment comes after a recommendation from the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) panel on Friday.
Currently serving as General Manager at Coal India Limited (CIL), Sinha emerged as the top choice from a competitive pool of 12 candidates interviewed during the PESB selection meeting on September 20. The candidates included professionals from various coal and steel industries, with three from Coal India, two from Steel Authority of India (SAIL), and representatives from several other organizations, highlighting the broad expertise within the sector.
