New Delhi: A 1994-batch IAS officer of the Chhattisgarh cadre, currently serving as Additional Secretary at NITI Aayog, has been appointed as the Director General of the Development Monitoring and Evaluation Office (DMEO), NITI Aayog. The appointment is in the rank and pay of Secretary to the Government of India.
The post has been temporarily upgraded as a measure personal to the officer, with existing recruitment guidelines kept in abeyance. The officer was recently empanelled for Secretary-level positions and had briefly served as Officer on Special Duty in the Ministry of Food Processing Industries (MoFPI), a posting which now stands cancelled.
