New Delhi: Senior IPS officer Mukesh Singh (IPS: 1996: AGMUT) has been sent on inter-cadre deputation from the AGMUT cadre to the Manipur cadre for a period of three years.

According to official orders, the deputation has been approved in administrative interest. During this tenure, Mukesh Singh will serve in Manipur and contribute to policing and security-related responsibilities in the state.

Mukesh Singh is a seasoned Indian Police Service officer of the 1996 batch and has held several important assignments during his career in the AGMUT cadre. His deputation to Manipur comes at a significant time, considering the ongoing focus on law and order as well as administrative coordination in the northeastern state.

The inter-cadre deputation will remain effective for three years from the date of assumption of charge or until further orders issued by the competent authority.
