The Jharkhand government has officially regularized the appointment of Anurag Gupta (IPS: 1990: JH) as the Director General of Police (DGP) for the state. According to the recent notification, Gupta will serve as DGP for a term of two years. His new appointment will take effect from July 26, 2024, marking the beginning of his tenure as the top police officer in Jharkhand.
Gupta’s extensive experience in law enforcement is expected to contribute significantly to the state’s policing and security infrastructure during his tenure.
