Jitendra Kumar Verma, an officer of the Indian Statistical Service (ISS) of the 2013 batch, has been appointed as Deputy Secretary in the Department of Defence for a period of four years. In this role, he will contribute to the department’s strategic functions and support the formulation and implementation of defense policies.
