The post of Deputy Secretary in the Ministry of Earth Sciences, previously held by Rajendra Kumar Kumhar, an officer of the Indian Ordnance Factories Service (IOFS) of the 2011 batch, has been re-designated as Director in the same ministry. His tenure as Director will last until 28th September 2028, for a total duration of five years. His central deputation tenure commenced from 29th September 2023. In this new role, he will continue to contribute to the ministry’s initiatives and policies related to Earth sciences.
