Kamaljit K Kamal, an officer of the Indian Revenue Service (IRS) in the Customs and Indirect Taxes (C&IT) cadre, has been appointed as the Deputy Secretary in the Office of the Custodian of Enemy Property for India (CEPI), Mumbai, under the Ministry of Home Affairs. This appointment is effective until January 24, 2026, or until the tenure/validity of the post. Kamal replaces Patil Prashant Sudamrao (IRS C&IT: 2011), who previously held the position. Kamaljit K Kamal’s new role will involve overseeing matters related to enemy property and its administration.
