New Delhi : The Central Government on Tuesday issued notifications regarding several appointments and re-designations across key ministries and departments.
Vibha Chahal (IAS: 2012: UP) has been appointed as Director in the Department of Food & Public Distribution. She will hold the post for a tenure up to June 7, 2027.
The post of Deputy Secretary in the Ministry of Mines, presently held by Ashish Saxena (ISS: 2012), has been re-designated as Director in the same ministry. His tenure in the upgraded post will continue up to February 28, 2030. His central deputation tenure is effective from March 1, 2025.
The post of Deputy Secretary in NATGRID under the Ministry of Home Affairs, held by Raghav Gupta (IRS IT: 2012), has been re-designated as Director for a period up to May 31, 2027. His central deputation tenure is effective from June 1, 2022.
The post of Deputy Secretary in the Ministry of Mines, held by Geetika Sharma (IAS: 2012: AGMUT cadre), has also been re-designated as Director. She will serve in the upgraded role up to May 29, 2029, with her central deputation tenure effective from May 29, 2024.
Additionally, the post of Private Secretary (Deputy Secretary level) to the Minister for Coal & Mines, G Kishan Reddy, in the Ministry of Mines, held by Bakki Karthikeyan (IAS: 2012: MP), has been re-designated as Private Secretary at Director level to the same Minister. His tenure in this role will be up to August 9, 2029, with central deputation effective from August 10, 2024.
These appointments and re-designations have been made in accordance with the prescribed rules and aim to strengthen administrative leadership across the concerned ministries.
