Ms. Rachna Shah, a 1991-batch IAS officer of the Kerala cadre, has been appointed as the new Secretary of the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT). Previously serving as the Secretary of the Ministry of Textiles, she brings a wealth of experience and leadership to her new role. Her appointment is expected to play a pivotal role in strengthening the functioning of the DoPT, which is responsible for overseeing matters related to civil services, recruitment, and training across government departments.
