NCLAT Grants NBCC PMC Role for 16 Supertech Projects
In a recent development, NBCC has been entrusted with a new role by the Hon’ble National Company Law Appellate Tribunal (NCLAT). Through an order dated December 12, 2024, NCLAT has approved NBCC’s Terms of Reference (ToR) to serve as Project Management Consultant (PMC) for 16 stalled projects of Supertech Limited across four states: Uttar Pradesh (12 projects), Uttarakhand (1 project), Haryana (2 projects), and Karnataka (1 project). This new mandate reflects NBCC’s continuing leadership in delivering critical infrastructure solutions across the nation.
NBCC will oversee the execution and completion of these projects without any financial liability, demonstrating the company’s capability to manage complex projects while ensuring timely delivery.
Scope of the Supertech Projects: 50,000 Housing Units to be Completed
The 16 Supertech projects encompass nearly 50,000 housing units, with an estimated construction cost of ₹9,445 crore, which includes statutory fees, charges, and contingencies. NBCC is committed to ensuring the timely completion of these projects within three years while maintaining its hallmark standards of quality and sustainability. The company has been granted an 8% Project Management Consultancy fee, which includes a 1% marketing fee, underscoring its responsibility in managing and promoting these projects effectively.
