New Delhi (20.06.2024): With over two months remaining in the retirement of Jaya Verma Sinha (IRTS: 1986) as Chairman & CEO Railway Board, names of some key offices are abuzz as her prospective successor. Jaya Verma Sinha is scheduled to complete her tenure on re-employment on 31.08.2024.
Raisina sources say that the Ministry of Railways has expressed its preferences and has reportedly recommended three senior-most officials for the coveted position namely — Satish Kumar (IRSME:1986), A K Khandelwal (1987: IRMS) and Anil Kumar Mishra (IRSSE: 1989). Currently, Satish Kumar is Member (Traction & Rolling Stock) and Khandelwal is Member (Infrastructure) in the Railway Board whereas A K Mishra is General Manager, South Eastern Railway. A section of insiders says that Mishra has an edge over others in terms of prospects for the top job.
