Nidhi Khare, an Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer of the 1992 batch from Jharkhand, currently serving as the Secretary of the Department of Consumer Affairs in the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution, has been entrusted with the additional responsibility of Secretary in the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy. She will hold this position until a regular incumbent is appointed.
