The Central Government has entrusted Niraj Verma (IAS: 1994: Assam–Meghalaya cadre), who is currently serving as Secretary, Department of Justice, Ministry of Law & Justice, with the additional charge of the post of Secretary.
According to the official order, the additional responsibility has been assigned in the public interest and in accordance with established administrative norms. The arrangement will remain effective until further orders.
Niraj Verma is a senior Indian Administrative Service officer with extensive experience in judicial administration and policy matters. His additional charge is expected to ensure continuity and efficient functioning of the concerned department.
