New Delhi: NTPC Green Energy Limited on Friday announced that its arm, NTPC Renewable Energy Ltd, has commenced commercial supply of 165 MW from the second part of its 1,200 MW Khavda-II Solar PV Project in Gujarat.
NTPC Green Energy is a subsidiary of state-owned power major NTPC Limited. NTPC Renewable Energy functions as a step-down subsidiary of NTPC.
According to a regulatory filing, the current commercial capacity of the NTPC Green Energy Limited Group stood at 8,827.68 MW. With the addition of 165 MW from the Khavda-II project, the total installed capacity of the group has increased to 8,992.68 MW.
The filing further stated that the 165 MW capacity — part of the 1,200 MW Khavda-II Solar PV Project in Gujarat — has been declared under Commercial Operation with effect from 00:00 hrs on February 20, 2026.
