In all probability, either Parag Jain, a 1989-batch IPS officer, or Sunil Acharya, a 1991-batch IPS officer from the Nagaland cadre, is set to succeed Sinha as the Chief of the Research and Analysis Wing (R&AW). The selection of the new chief is expected to be finalized soon, with both officers being strong contenders for the position.
