Petal Dhillon, an Indian Railway Traffic Service (IRTS) officer of the 2002 batch, has been appointed as Joint Secretary in the Department of Commerce for a tenure of five years. She will succeed Anant Swarup (IRPS: 1992), who previously held the role.
