Rachna Shah, a 1991-batch IAS officer of the Kerala cadre and the current Secretary of the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT), has been entrusted with the additional charge of Secretary, Department of Administrative Reforms & Public Grievances (DARPG), as well as the Department of Pensions & Pensioners Welfare (DoPPW).
The additional responsibility has been assigned following the repatriation of the present incumbent. Shah will oversee the functions of both departments until a regular appointment is made or until further orders.
In her expanded role, she will be responsible for steering key administrative reforms, grievance redressal mechanisms, and policies related to pension and welfare measures for central government employees and retirees.
