Raghav Chandra, a retired Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer of the 1982 batch (Madhya Pradesh cadre), has been appointed as Professor of Practice at the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Calcutta. He will join the Academic Group of Public Policy and Management.
Chandra brings a wealth of administrative experience, having held several key positions during his career, including Chairman of the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI), Secretary in the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, and Secretary of the National Commission for Scheduled Tribes.
An alumnus of the University of Delhi, Chandra earned his B.Sc. in 1978 and M.Sc. in 1980 before pursuing a Master in Public Administration at Harvard University in 1998. He is also a recipient of the prestigious Japan–World Bank Merit Scholarship.
