Railways minister arrives with more power?

Posted on June 14, 2024 By northsouthblock No Comments on Railways minister arrives with more power?

New Delhi : Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnav took charge for the second consecutive term in a row. In the crucial quarters of Rail Bhawan it is heard that Vaishnav has arrived in the office with more power this time. After all the NDA partners failed to grab the ministry who are known for bargaining hard.

As per the convention, the Protocol Officer accompanies the minister from residence to the respective ministry for taking over of charge. Once the minister is seated in the office, senior officials call on to meet and greet the minister. There was a whisper in the power corridors of Rail Bhawan that senior-most officials of the Railway Board queued up at reception to receive the minister and walked along with him up to his office which is something very rare if not happened for the first time.

For a section of insiders, his grand welcome on taking over is being murmured that, this time, Vaishnav has arrived with more power and mandate from the top to set the railways on a new growth trajectory.
