The Government of India has approved the premature repatriation of Rajeev Sharma (IPS: 1990: RJ) to his parent cadre, Rajasthan, following his appointment as the Director General of Police (DGP) of the state.
Prior to this appointment, Sharma was serving as the Director General of the Bureau of Police Research and Development (BPR&D) under the Ministry of Home Affairs. His return to Rajasthan marks a key leadership transition in the state police administration.
