Rajesh Lakhani, an Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer of the 1992 batch from Tamil Nadu, has been appointed as the new Commissioner of Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS), an autonomous body under the Department of School Education & Literacy. He will hold this position until his retirement on May 31, 2029. This appointment comes after the tenure of Vinayak Garg (IRSEE: 1995), who previously held the role.
