Shivdeep Waman Rao Lande, an Indian Police Service (IPS) officer of the 2006 batch, serving as the Inspector General (IG) at the Police Training Centre in Patna, has had his resignation accepted by President Droupadi Murmu. Lande submitted his resignation on September 19, 2024, citing personal reasons.
While he has expressed his intention to remain in Bihar, speculation is swirling that Lande may soon make a political move. With the Bihar elections scheduled for later this year, it is widely believed that he will align himself with the Jan Suraj Party led by political strategist Prashant Kishor.
