New Delhi: In a key bureaucratic reshuffle, Shri Ashim Kumar Modi, a 2000-batch officer of the Indian Revenue Service (IRS), has been appointed as the Joint Secretary & Financial Adviser (FA) in the Ministry of Coal, Government of India.
He will serve in this position for a tenure of five years, succeeding Ms. Nirupama Kotru, IRS (1992), who held the post previously.
The appointment is part of the government’s broader administrative realignments aimed at enhancing financial governance and policy execution in crucial infrastructure ministries. As Joint Secretary & FA, Shri Modi will play a pivotal role in overseeing the financial planning, budgeting, and expenditure management of the Ministry of Coal.
