The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the extension of tenure of Govind Jaiswal (IAS: 2007: AGMUT), currently serving as Joint Secretary in the Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education. His tenure has been extended for a period of two years beyond 11th October 2025.
This extension reflects the government’s continued confidence in Jaiswal’s leadership and administrative capabilities in steering higher education policy and reforms.
