In a major administrative reshuffle, the tenure of Shashank Mani Tripathi (IAS: 2015: AGMUT) as Deputy Secretary in the Ministry of Home Affairs under the Central Staffing Scheme has been curtailed.
According to an official order, Tripathi has now been appointed as Officer on Special Duty (OSD) to the Minister for Home Affairs, Amit Shah, at the level of Deputy Secretary.
His appointment as OSD will be effective up to August 30, 2028.
Sources indicate that this move comes as part of the Ministry’s effort to strengthen the Minister’s core administrative and coordination team.
Tripathi, a 2015-batch IAS officer of the AGMUT cadre, has previously served in various administrative capacities and is known for his efficiency in handling internal security and policy-related matters.
