The Government of India has extended the tenure of additional charge of Chairman, Jawaharlal Nehru Port Authority (JNPA), to Unmesh Sharad Wagh (IRS C&IT: 2000) from March 11, 2025, to August 23, 2025, or until the appointment of a regular incumbent, whichever is earlier.
Wagh is currently serving as Deputy Chairman of JNPA and has been holding the additional charge of Chairman. The extension ensures leadership continuity at India’s premier container port during this transitional period.
