New Delhi : The Government of India has approved the re-designation of the post of Deputy Secretary as Director in two central ministries, currently held by IOFS officers of the 2012 batch.
In the Ministry of Heavy Industries, the post of Deputy Secretary held by Amrendra Kishore Singh (IOFS: 2012) has been re-designated as Director for a period up to 02 October 2028. His central deputation tenure is effective from 03 October 2023.
Similarly, in the Ministry of Labour & Employment, the post of Deputy Secretary held by Minhaz Ahmad (IOFS: 2012) has been re-designated as Director for a period up to 15 June 2030. His central deputation tenure commenced on 16 June 2025.
The re-designations are in line with central deputation and staffing norms, ensuring continuity in administrative and policy responsibilities within the respective ministries.
