Uma Nanduri, an officer of the Indian Forest Service (IFoS) from the 1993 batch of the Odisha cadre, was prematurely repatriated to her cadre in order to avail the benefits of promotion within the cadre. This move was made to ensure she could continue advancing her career in the cadre system.
Currently, Uma Nanduri holds the position of Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Culture, where she continues to serve with distinction, contributing to the department’s initiatives. Her experience in the Forest Service and subsequent roles in government highlight her career progression within the civil services.
