As per the information on sanctioned posts and vacancy positions for IPS officers in CPOS / CAPFS issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs in June, 2024, there are 54 vacant posts (out of 73 sanctioned posts) in the CBI, 50 (out of 83 sanctioned posts) in IB and 13 (out of 36 sanctioned posts) in NIA. These posts are of DG, SDG, ADG, IG, DIG and SP ranks.
