In a significant reshuffle within Punjab’s police department, Jagdale Nilambari Vijay, the current DIG of Technical Services, Chandigarh, has been relieved of the additional charge of DIG, Ropar Range. She has now been given the additional responsibility of DIG, Community Affairs Division, SAS Nagar. Harcharan Singh Bhullar has been appointed as the new DIG of Ropar Range.
Other notable appointments include Harjeet Singh, who takes over as DIG of Bathinda Range, and Gaurav Toora, who has been posted as the SSP of Kapurthala. Additionally, Vatsala Gupta has been designated as the Commandant of the 27th Battalion, PAP Jalandhar. These changes are part of ongoing efforts to streamline and strengthen the leadership within Punjab Police.
