The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has officially approved the appointment of Partha Pratim Sengupta as the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Bandhan Bank for a term of three years. Sengupta takes over from founder MD and CEO Chandra Shekhar Ghosh, who stepped down on July 9, 2024. The RBI’s prior approval marks a significant transition for the bank as it looks to continue its growth and innovation under new leadership.
