Bihar is facing a shortage of 115 Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers in its cadre. Currently, a total of 244 IAS officers are in position in the Bihar cadre, against the total authorized strength of 359. This shortfall is impacting the administrative functioning in the state, with efforts underway to fill the vacancies and strengthen the cadre.
