Indian Foreign Service (IFS) officer C Sugandh Rajaram of the 2001 batch has been appointed as India’s next Ambassador to the Republic of Peru. He is presently serving as Joint Secretary in the Ministry of External Affairs.
According to official information, Rajaram is expected to assume his new diplomatic assignment shortly. With significant experience in foreign affairs and international diplomacy, he is expected to play a key role in strengthening bilateral relations between India and Peru.
India and Peru share growing cooperation in areas such as trade, mining, pharmaceuticals, agriculture, and cultural exchanges. His appointment is being viewed as an important move to further deepen diplomatic and economic engagement between the two countries.
