Goa: Veteran Indian actor Nana Patekar passed away at the age of 75 on Thursday morning following a cardiac arrest at his residence in Goa. The news has sent shockwaves across the Indian film industry, with actors and fans mourning the loss of one of Indian cinema’s most respected performers.
According to the information available, Nana Patekar suffered a severe cardiac arrest at around 5:20 am. Doctors reportedly attempted CPR for nearly 45 minutes, but he could not be revived. A medico-legal case (MLC) has also been registered and a post-mortem is expected to be conducted.

Nana Patekar’s son Malhar Patekar reportedly informed the family about the tragic development. The family was travelling to Goa following the news.
Nana Patekar was in Goa in connection with some personal work. According to the information shared by the family, his mortal remains were expected to be taken to Pune later in the day.
What the Doctor Said
Dr Shekhar Salkar, head of the Oncology Department at Manipal Hospital, said that Nana Patekar suffered a cardiac arrest at his residence. Despite continuous CPR for around 45 minutes, doctors could not save him.
An MLC has been registered and the post-mortem process is expected to provide further official details.

Actor and BJP MP Ravi Kishan expressed deep grief over Nana Patekar’s demise.
Remembering the veteran actor, Ravi Kishan said that Nana Patekar was not just a great star but an artist who remained far removed from the glamour and superficiality of stardom.
He recalled Nana’s simplicity, humility and deep connection with his roots. Ravi Kishan also said that he shared a close relationship with Nana Patekar and that they used to speak to each other from time to time.
According to Ravi Kishan, Nana’s acting, simplicity and outlook towards life taught him many valuable lessons. He also remembered the affection and encouragement he had received from the veteran actor.
Ravi Kishan described Nana Patekar’s death as a deep personal loss and said that his contribution to Indian cinema could never truly be replaced.
