Ambica Anand (ISS: 2009), who is presently working as Director in the Ministry of Steel, has been appointed as Director in the 8th Central Pay Commission (8th CPC) under the Department of Expenditure, Ministry of Finance.
Her appointment has been made on a ‘lateral shift’ basis and will be co-terminus with the tenure of the Commission. The term is further extendable up to October 13, 2030.
The 8th Central Pay Commission plays a crucial role in reviewing and recommending changes in salary structures, allowances, and pension benefits for central government employees and pensioners. In this context, Ambica Anand is expected to contribute significantly to the Commission’s work.
