Anupama Nilekar Chandra (IPS: 1994: BH), presently serving as Special Director General in the Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), has been appointed as Director General (Investigation) in the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC).
She has been appointed in place of Anand Swaroop (IPS: 1992: UP) and will hold the post up to 31 March 2031, which is the date of her superannuation.
