11-day cultural event at Balrampur Gardens to feature exhibitions, workshops, live podcasts and the ‘Read India Read’ book donation drive
Lucknow: A new cultural platform, The Creators Lounge (TCL), is set to bring authors, artists, readers and culture enthusiasts together in Lucknow from October 1 to 11.
The multi-day event at Balrampur Gardens will combine literature, visual arts and live conversations, offering creators an opportunity to showcase their work and interact directly with audiences. The initiative has been conceived by executive coach and author Vivek Padalia and visionary leader Manoj Chandel, with support from ViveBale and Forceone Books.
Unlike conventional book fairs and art exhibitions, The Creators Lounge will focus on direct engagement between creators and visitors. Dedicated spaces will allow authors to showcase their books, while artists will display their work, conduct live demonstrations and interact with visitors.
Workshops, masterclasses and live podcasts
The event will also feature interactive workshops and masterclasses covering areas such as writing, art and leadership. A live podcast setup will provide a platform for conversations with authors, thinkers and other creative professionals.
The evenings are expected to feature poetry, acoustic music and storytelling sessions. The programme will also culminate in the TCL Awards Evening, where achievements across five creative categories will be recognised.
‘Read India Read’ to promote community libraries
A major highlight of the event will be the ‘Read India Read’ book donation initiative, aimed at promoting reading and supporting the creation of accessible community reading corners. Visitors, educational institutions and book enthusiasts can contribute new or gently used books across genres, including fiction, non-fiction, philosophy, children’s literature and academic texts.
According to the organisers, the books collected during the drive will be used to establish community reading spaces and encourage wider access to reading material. “The Creators Lounge bridges the gap between creator and audience, turning passive exhibitions into active cultural exchanges while building a lasting reading movement through Read India Read,” said Vivek Padalia.
The event will remain open to authors, artists, students and readers, with the organisers positioning it as a platform for creative exchange, public interaction and community participation.
