The deputation tenure of Sonal V Mishra, an Indian Police Service (IPS) officer of the 2000 batch (TN), has been extended for an additional year beyond December 20, 2024, bringing her total tenure to 8 years. This extension has been granted in relaxation of the IPS Tenure Policy. Currently serving as the Inspector General of Police in the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Mishra’s extension reflects the significant contribution she has made in her current role. Her continued leadership in the CRPF will support ongoing efforts in maintaining internal security and law enforcement across the country.
