The Government of India has appointed Prashant Kumar Mishra (IAS: 2014: KN) as Officer on Special Duty (OSD) to C. R. Patil, the Union Minister for Jal Shakti, in the Department of Water Resources, River Development & Ganga Rejuvenation.
According to the official order, Mishra will serve at the level of Deputy Secretary for a tenure of four years. In this role, he will assist the minister in handling key administrative, policy, and coordination matters related to water resources management, river development, and initiatives related to the rejuvenation of the Ganga.
The appointment is part of the government’s effort to strengthen ministerial offices with experienced officers to ensure effective implementation and coordination of important water resource and river management initiatives.
