The central government has announced significant administrative changes, including extensions of tenure for senior officers, a premature repatriation, and a cadre transfer on marriage grounds

By NSB.News

The government has issued fresh orders affecting multiple officers across key departments and ministries.

Himani Pande (IAS: 1998: JH) has been granted an extension of tenure. Her position of Joint Secretary in the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, has been temporarily upgraded to the level of Additional Secretary. She will continue in this role until April 18, 2027.

Satyajit Mohanty (IRS C&IT: 1999), currently serving as Joint Secretary in the Department of Defence, has received a one-year extension beyond July 9, 2026.

Karamjeet Kaur (IES: 2012), Director in the Department of Defence Production, has been prematurely repatriated to her parent cadre in the Department of Economic Affairs. This move comes with the condition of an “extended cooling-off” period.

Meanwhile, Pallavi Mishra (IAS: 2023: AGMUT) has been transferred from the AGMUT cadre to the Punjab cadre on the basis of her marriage to Aditya Sharma (IAS: 2023: PB).

These decisions are seen as part of routine administrative adjustments aimed at ensuring continuity and efficiency in governance.
