The post of Deputy Secretary in the Ministry of Home Affairs, held by Deepak Virmani (IAS: 2011: AGMUT), has been re-designated as Director in the same ministry. This re-designation will be effective from January 1, 2025, for a period up to November 4, 2029, marking a total tenure of five years. Deepak Virmani’s central deputation tenure will begin from November 5, 2024.
