The Government of India has appointed Shri Prashant Kumar Singh (IAS: 1993: MN) as the Secretary of the National Commission for Scheduled Tribes. He will succeed Shri Puneet Kumar Goel (IAS: 1991: AGMUT) in this role.
Singh will assume the position in the rank and pay of Secretary to the Government of India. A senior bureaucrat from the Manipur cadre, he brings decades of administrative experience to the Commission, which plays a key role in safeguarding the rights and interests of Scheduled Tribes across the country.
